Mrs. Nogi (乃木さん, Nogi-san) is a Frenchman and the mother of Ruka Nogi. She is most likely a graduate of the Alice Academy branch in France. She only appears in the manga. She is hinted as an Alice, portrayed when Ruka received a letter from his family;showing a picture of his family (his house as a background and his mother right at the front hugging a dog).
Appearance[]
Ruka's mother is an attractive woman. She is so attractive that when Ruka's classmates saw her picture they thought she was a model. She has French ethnicity which she passed down to her son.
Story[]
In a background chapter, (chapter 62) it is revealed that she is a very caring mother. Just like Hotaru Imai's family, the Nogi family tried to resist Alice Academy's attempts to recruit Ruka as a student because of his Alice. Ruka's mother showed maternal defense by threatening the Academy's recruiters with a knife to so they would leave Ruka alone.
Because of the Nogi family's wealth and influence in their neighborhood, they hired bodyguards to protect Ruka from Alice Academy 24/7. This became a big issue with Ruka, because he was restricted from having a normal life.
This strangling security was loosened when Ruka made friends with the Natsume, a transfer student at that time, because his mother realized that she was stopping Ruka from being happy. In chapter 53 Ruka has a letter of her with a photo. It's the first time people can see anyone else of Ruka's family than himself. She always called Ruka "Ru-chan". Ruka hates this. Later she appears with Mr. Hyuga to take Aoi home. She came to see Ruka. She is happy to see him, commenting on how he has grown and hugs him through the gate of the school.
